There is very little technical Maintenance to be done by the user (customer) of Grid Tied Rooftop Solar Power Plants in India. Only thing which has to be done by the user is to clean the dust accumulated on Solar Photo voltaic (PV) modules of solar power plants. This dust can be cleaned by pouring water on Solar PV modules or by rubbing with a clean cloth during summer and winter days. Dust will be automatically cleaned during monsoon days if there is regular rain.
Kindly have a look at the solar PV modules picture below where you can see plenty of dust accumulated on Solar PV modules. If we don’t clean this dust at regular interval, then (KWh) solar Power generation reduces gradually, Leading in loss of efficiency of Grid Tied Rooftop Solar Power Plant.
