REDSUN SOLAR INDUSTRIES participated in the 13th Traditional Food Festival SATTVIK 2016 organised jointly by NGO- SRISTI, National Innovation Foundation, Honey Bee network and Grass root Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN). Professor Anil Gupta from IIM, Ahmedabad is the inspirer of this thought of Traditional Food Festival and he and his team members are working aggresively for these NGOs. First Traditional Food Festival SATTVIK was first organized in 2003 by SRISTI (Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions) in collaboration with GIAN (Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network) , NIF (National Innovation Foundation), and IIMA (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad) to stimulate demand of local crops and their varieties from dry regions so as to generate market based incentives for their conservation.
We tried to create awareness of solar products like solar water heaters, solar box type cooker and Roof Top solar power plant among among visitors of Food Festival. This is a unique food festival to raise awareness about biodiversity conservation, promote traditional recipes and stimulate the demand for indigenous crops and varieties. Khedut Hat was a special attraction in this food festival with display and sale of organically cultivated vegetables and fruits.
